CineSport is an innovative web video syndication company that offers sports highlights on-line and on-demand. CineSport provides easy to watch video packages where and when you want to see them. News and information sites receive localized reports from their home cities that are perfectly targeted to their users.
CineSport LLC was launched in the fall of 2007 by former National Basketball Association executive Gregg Winik to produce and syndicate online video sports highlights and news to web sites of blue chip local media companies across the United States and Canada.
To date, CineSport is syndicated to over 60 media web sites including 25 newspaper sites such as the New York Post, Dallas Morning News, Philadelphia Inquirer, Boston Herald, San Francisco Chronicle, Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Denver Post, Sacramento Bee and others as well as 17 CBS owned sports and news radio stations such as New York's WFAN. CineSport has one or more distribution partners in 15 of the nation's top 25 DMA's as well as a presence in 8 of the nation’s top 10 DMA's including NY, Chicago, Boston and LA. In less than one full year of its commercial launch, CineSport ranked as the 8th most trafficked sport video provider in the US (as determined by independent data compiled by comScore).
Management Team
Gregg Winik - Chief Executive Officer
Formerly NBA Entertainment’s Executive Vice President and Executive Producer, Winik left the NBA in 2006 after 16 years to launch CineSport LLC. Winik, a multi-Emmy award winner, oversaw the NBA’s content across all media outlets. In addition to overseeing programming, production, and marketing, he also supervised the NBA's programming partnerships with NBC, ABC, TNT and ESPN. Winik also presided over NBA TV, the league’s 24-hour television network and the NBA’s broadband offerings.
Michael Dresner - Chief Operating Officer
Dresner has spent over twenty years in media and entertainment business development, sales and marketing. Most recently he was COO of MusicToGo, a software development company that distributes entrainment applications to media and marketing companies. Prior to that he created and led Digitas’ media & entertainment practice where he developed and activated marketing strategies on behalf of Fortune 500 media and marketing companies. Prior to joining Digitas, Michael worked as Executive Vice President, Business Development for Marvel Entertainment Co. and at the NBA where he spent seven years in a variety of capacities including Vice President International Television, and Vice President Media and Program Sales.
Larry Weitzman - Chief Content Officer
Weitzman is a multiple Emmy Award winning director and producer. Weitzman held positions at NBA Entertainment such as Vice President of Multimedia Production and Programming, and Head of Original Programming and Development. He also played a leadership role in building the NBA's digital assets including creating its first multimedia unit, overseeing cross-platform programming initiatives, and running its digital integration efforts.
Ben Todres - Chief Financial Officer
Todres has spent over 18 years in the commercial banking and corporate finance world. From 2005 until early in 2008 when he joined CineSport, Todres was a senior banker in Merrill Lynch Capital’s media finance group arranging financing commitments ranging in size from $15 million to $200 million in support of private equity firms LBO activity. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Todres spent 15 years in the media finance teams at BNP Paribas, Bank of New York Mellon and JP Morgan Chase where he originated, underwrote and completed in excess of $25 billion in financing arrangements in the TV and radio broadcasting, cable television, newspaper publishing, B2B publishing, theatre exhibition, satellite, and other media segments.
Scott Weinstock - Chief Creative Officer
After beginning his career at the legendary advertising agency Saatchi & Saatchi, Scott has been a key member in the successful launches of Inside Edition, CNBC, InSport, NBA Inside Stuff and MTV’s “Beauty and the Beach." At the NBA Scott served as VP, Executive Creative Director where he helmed the league’s advertising and marketing campaigns contributing to all of the NBA/WNBA’s creative branding efforts. In 2005, Scott joined the NHL to create and manage their branding and advertising campaigns.
Andrew Coy Lombardi - VP, Senior Coordinating Producer
After working at NBA Entertainment for 9 years as Producer of the Advertising Group, Lombardi spent 2006 & 2007 at Tupelo-Honey Productions as lead producer for SNY¹s Mets Weekly and Kids Clubhouse, of which the latter won back-to-back New York Emmy Awards for Best Children¹s series. In 2008, Lombardi joined the Winik Media group to help launch CineSport and as Supervising Producer oversees production of shows and features for Major League Baseball that air on ESPN and FoxSports under the CineSport umbrella.
Noah Coslov - CineSport Host and Managing Editor
Coslov is responsible for CineSport's news and feature coverage in addition to his hosting responsibilities. He is CineSport's liason between affiliates' editorial staff creating video features and two-way interviews using easy to implement web and laptop technology. Coslov previously covered the national sports scene as a host and reporter for CBS College Sports, NBA TV and most recently for Major League Baseball Advanced Media. His professional career started in Reading, PA where he spent 2 seasons as a radio broadcaster for the Philadelphia Phillies AA affiliate and continued by becoming the voice of NBA TV Broadband and host on NBA TV before developing original content for NBA Radio on Sirius then landing as a host on MLB.com. He is also currently a play-by-play announcer for CBS College Sports.
